  • Flyers' Nikita Grebenkin: Picks up helper

Grebenkin posted an assist and five hits in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres. Grebenkin has a chance to take on a middle-six role since Tyson Foerster (upper body) will be out for at least two months. The first audition on the third line went well, as Grebenkin helped out on a Bobby Brink tally in the first period, which stood as the game-winner. Grebenkin is four points, seven shots on net, 34 hits, 19 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 17 appearances. Fantasy managers can wait to see if he proves himself more offense before making a move.

  • Flyers' Nikita Grebenkin: Gets first NHL goal

Grebenkin scored a goal in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Canadiens. Grebenkin tied the game 4-4 in the third when he cut to the middle and scored with a low wrister from the top of the shop. It was his first career NHL goal. It came in his 16th game. Grebenkin is averaging 9:32 in the bottom six. It was a nice night, but his fantasy value remains limited.

  • Flyers' Nikita Grebenkin: Logs helper in season debut

Grebenkin registered an assist in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes. Grebenkin was scratched for the season opener before replacing Nicolas Deslauriers on the fourth line for the second game of the year. The 22-year-old Grebenkin had a strong preseason, but he doesn't have a clear path onto a scoring line yet. He'll need to make the most of his opportunities early on to stick in the lineup in the long run.

  • Flyers' Nikita Grebenkin: Loaned back to AHL

Grebenkin was loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday. Grebenkin was brought up to the Flyers earlier in the day, presumably as injury insurance, but he'll head back to the AHL just a few hours later. The 21-year-old Grebenkin figures to remain a depth option for Philadelphia.

  • Maple Leafs' Nikita Grebenkin: Returns to minors

Grebenkin was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Saturday. Grebenkin has no points, two shots and 13 hits in seven appearances with the Maple Leafs this season. He also has eight goals and 16 points in 29 AHL outings with the Marlies.

  • Maple Leafs' Nikita Grebenkin: AHL bound

Grebenkin was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Saturday. The Maple Leafs activated Bobby McMann off injured reserve earlier in the day, leaving Grebenkin as the odd-man out. Grebenkin is without a point in seven NHL games this season, but he has excelled at the AHL level with four goals and 10 points in 13 contests.

  • Maple Leafs' Nikita Grebenkin: Sent to minors

Grebenkin was assigned to AHL Toronto on Tuesday, according to the NHL media site. Grebenkin was sent down in order to make room on the roster for Max Domi, who was activated off injured reserve in a corresponding move. Grebenkin was held without a point over seven contests with the Maple Leafs, but more consistent playing time with the Marlies should be beneficial to his development in his first season on North American ice.
