Scanlin (lower body) is off injured non-roster and put on waivers Saturday, per Keegan Jarvis of Blueshirt Banter.
Scanlin had been rehabbing with AHL Hartford after suffering the injury during the Rangers' training camp. Assuming he clears waivers, the 26-year-old will be able to make his AHL season debut. He had eight goals and 14 points in 66 regular-season appearances with Hartford in 2024-25.

Scanlin has yet to make his NHL debut after three seasons in the minors with AHL Hartford. For the Wolf Pack this year, the 24-year-old blueliner has managed seven goals and seven helpers in 43 contests. Given his production in the minors, Scanlin probably shouldn't be expected to serve as more than a depth option if he can make the jump to the NHL.

Scanlin and the Rangers had an arbitration hearing scheduled for Friday, but now that won't be necessary. The 24-year-old defenseman contributed four goals and 15 points in 61 games for AHL Hartford last season. Scanlin will likely begin the 2023-24 campaign in the minors.
