  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Hangs on for OT win

DiPietro stopped 37 shots in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over Chicago. The visitors out-shot the Bruins 28-13 through two periods, but DiPietro kept things tied up until a wild third period that saw the teams trade two-goal bursts. The 27-year-old then got rewarded for his efforts when Elias Lindholm potted the winner in OT. DiPietro has won three straight starts as Jeremy Swayman's backup, allowing six goals on 97 shots (.959 save percentage) during his winning streak.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Donning mask for Halloween

DiPietro will defend the home crease in Saturday's clash against the Blackhawks, per Kevin Paul Dupont of The Boston Globe. DiPietro is set to make his first appearance since his first career shutout, which he earned by making 28 saves against the Predators on Oct. 22. Overall, the 27-year-old netminder has a 2-1-0 record, a 1.69 GAA and a .941 save percentage across three appearances this season. He's slated to be an excellent streaming option in all fantasy formats Saturday, as the Blackhawks currently rank 31st in the NHL with 2.08 goals per game.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: First NHL shutout

DiPietro made 28 saves in a 6-0 win over the Predators on Thursday. It was DiPietro's first NHL shutout and his second NHL win. His first came last Friday in a 4-2 victory against the Ducks. It's been a long haul for DiPietro, who made his NHL debut in 2018-19 with Vancouver. He had started two games and appeared in four before this season, spending the rest of his pro career in the AHL. DiPietro has talent -- he went 34-8-1 with three shutouts, a 1.91 GAA and .930 save percentage last season with Providence of the AHL. And now he has finally gotten his shot at an NHL gig. Expect him to get about 25 starts this season, and at this rate, he's going to deliver strong totals in daily formats given his talent and the strong team system.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Patrolling home crease

DiPietro will draw the start in Thursday's home clash against the Predators, per Adam Pellerin of NESN. DiPietro will look to pick up where he left off, as the 27-year-old netminder earned his first career NHL win against the Ducks on Friday. Overall, he's played well with a 1-1-0 record, a 2.54 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 57 shots on net between two appearances. The two-time reigning Aldege "Baz" Bastien Memorial Award winner is beginning to transfer his AHL success to his opportunities with Boston, making him one of the top stash options between the pipes in deep fantasy leagues. He'll be matched up against the Predators on Thursday, who provided him a favorable matchup with the NHL's 21st-ranked offense at 2.88 goals per game.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Earns first NHL win

DiPietro stopped 25 of 27 shots in Friday's 4-2 win over the Ducks. DiPietro has been chasing his first NHL win since 2018-19 when he debuted with the Canucks. The 27-year-old finally got it Friday, though he had a shaky start when he allowed two goals late in the first period. This was his second start of the campaign, and he's allowed a modest five goals on 56 shots so far while going 1-1-0. DiPietro isn't likely to see a lot of time behind Jeremy Swayman, who will probably get the nod Saturday versus the Kings.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Expected to face Anaheim

DiPietro is expected to start on the road against Anaheim on Friday, per Adam Pellerin of NESN. DiPietro is gearing up for his second outing of the season after he stopped 26 of 29 shots in a 4-1 loss to Minnesota on Oct. 3. The 27-year-old netminder excelled in the AHL during the 2025-26 regular season, posting a 1.91 GAA and a .930 save percentage in 45 outings, but he's searching for his first win at the NHL level. It might be difficult to get that victory over Anaheim, which is off to a strong start with a 4-2-0 record and an average of 3.33 goals per game.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Falls short against Wild

DiPietro stopped 26 of 29 shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Wild. The fourth goal was an empty-netter. The Wild controlled the last two periods, but DiPietro put in a fairly good effort. The 27-year-old netminder is filling an NHL role on a full-time basis for the first time. DiPietro has some fantasy upside in more favorable matchups than this one, but his playing time could be limited to 20-25 games as Jeremy Swayman's backup. The Bruins don't have a back-to-back over the next week, so it's unclear if DiPietro will get another chance to resume the hunt for his first win in the near future.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Making first start of season

DiPietro will guard the road goal versus the Wild on Saturday, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports. DiPietro will handle the second half of a back-to-back after Jeremy Swayman started Friday versus the Jets. This will be DiPietro's fifth career NHL game and just the second since the start of 2025-26. He is set to be Swayman's backup for the year, though DiPietro may struggle to see much time behind a clear starter.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Comes up short Thursday

DiPietro allowed two goals on 28 shots in Thursday's 2-0 preseason loss to the Flyers. DiPietro has allowed four goals on 60 shots over two outings this preseason. That level of performance should be more than enough to secure his spot in the backup role this season. Jeremy Swayman will probably get a tune-up Friday versus the Capitals to close out the Bruins' preseason slate, though Jiri Patera could also get a chance to respond to DiPietro's strong exhibition play.

DiPietro posted a 20-save shutout in AHL Providence's 1-0 win over Springfield on Sunday. DiPietro has won 12 of his last 14 games, posting two shutouts in that span. He's been superb throughout the campaign with a 34-7-1 record, a 1.88 GAA and a .931 save percentage over a career-high 44 games. Providence looks set for a lengthy playoff run, so DiPietro probably won't be getting called up to the NHL unless absolutely necessary.

  • Bruins' Michael DiPietro: Returned to Providence

DiPietro was reassigned to AHL Providence on Friday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports. DiPietro will join the Bruins as a practice player, the team announced Tuesday.
