  • Flames' Andrew Mangiapane: Draws into Sunday's lineup

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/2/18) Mangiapane will make his season debut versus the Blackhawks on Sunday, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Mangiapane will bump Austin Czarnik out of the lineup and take his spot on the third line. The 22-year-old worked into 10 NHL games last season and failed to record a point. Unfortunately, the hopes of breaking that trend are low since linemates Derek Ryan and James Neal have combined for just two even-strength points in the last 12 games.

Flames' Andrew Mangiapane: Promoted to top level

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/30/18) Calgary recalled Mangiapane from AHL Stockton on Friday.

The Flames only had 12 healthy forwards on their roster prior to Mangiapane's promotion, so he'll likely round out the team's depth up front until Michael Frolik (lower body) is cleared to return. The 2015 sixth-round pick has been highly productive in the minors this season, racking up seven goals and 14 points in 13 games.

Flames' Andrew Mangiapane: Sent down to minors

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(10/2/18) Mangiapane was reassigned to AHL Stockton on Tuesday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Mangiapane appears to have been beaten out for a spot on the 23-man roster by Dillon Dube and will start the year in the minors. The 22-year-old logged 10 games for the Flames last season, instead spending the bulk of his time with the Heat, for whom he notched 46 points in 39 games. The winger should be on the short list of potential call-ups throughout the 2018-19 campaign.

Flames' Andrew Mangiapane: Set to participate in camp

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(9/4/18) Mangiapane is set to participate in Calgary's Prospect Training Camp, the team's official site reports.

Mangiapane, 22, has dealt with both a shoulder injury and concussion, dating back to last season. Despite the slew of ailments, he appears healthy and ready for the Flames Prospect Training Camp, which is set to open on September 6. The Toronto, Ontario native appeared in 10 NHL games last season but failed to register a single point -- posting a minus-3 rating in the process. A strong showing in training camp could net Mangiapane a bottom-six role with the big club but the more likely outcome would see him begin the season in AHL Stockton.

Flames' Andrew Mangiapane: Missing remainder of season

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/12/18) Mangiapane is set to undergo a shoulder operation that will end his 2017-18 campaign.

Despite failing to log a point in 10 games with Calgary, Mangiapane's second professional season can be considered a resounding success. After putting up 20 goals and 41 points in 66 games for Stockton a season ago, Mangiapane elevated his play to score 21 goals and 46 points in just 39 AHL contests in 2017-18. Mangiapane will be hoping to be healthy for start of next season's training camp and will likely push for an NHL roster spot throughout the campaign.
