  • Predators' Dante Fabbro: In action Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/20/19) Fabbro (face) was back in action for Saturday's World Championship clash with Germany.

Fabbro likely won't see a ton of ice time in the tournament, but fantasy owners will be happy to see the defenseman healthy after taking a puck to the face in his previous appearance. Despite the club not having any blueliners set to hit free agency this offseason, the 20-year-old Fabbro should still have a decent shot at securing a spot on the 23-man roster for Opening Night.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: Suffers injury at Worlds

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/13/19) Fabbro was hit in the face by a puck during Team Canada's clash with Slovakia on Monday and won't return to the game, Brent Wallace of TSN.ca reports.

Fabbro's status for the remainder of the tournament is certainly in doubt, especially if the Predators feel it's best of he returns to Nashville to be evaluated by team doctors. The blueliner broke into the lineup for the final 10 games of the 2018-19 season, in which he tallied one goal, one assist and eight shots while averaging a mere 12:20 of ice time. Barring anything significant, Fabbro should be ready for training camp this fall and will likely compete for a spot on the 23-man roster.

    Predators' Dante Fabbro: Supplies helper

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/16/19) Fabbro picked up an assist in Monday's 3-2 win over the Stars in Game 3.

Fabbro has earned a spot on the Predators' third pairing alongside veteran blueliner Dan Hamhuis. Fabbro is averaging 10:25 per game in three postseason appearances, keeping the likes of Yannick Weber and Matt Irwin in the press box. The Predators use their third pairing very sparingly, but it's an encouraging show of confidence for the 20-year-old defender to be trusted with a spot in the lineup.

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/7/19) Fabbro scored his first NHL goal in a 5-2 victory against the Blackhawks on Saturday.

The 20-year-old defenseman started the Predators' comeback. Nashville erased a 2-0 deficit, scoring five unanswered goals to beat Chicago and earn another division title. Fabbro made his NHL debut last week and posted one goal with a minus-1 rating in four games to end the season.

Predators' Dante Fabbro: NHL debut set for Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/30/19) Fabbro will make his NHL debut Saturday.

Fabbro, the 17th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, signed his entry-level contract with Nashville on Wednesday. He had a productive junior season (33 points in 26 games) at Boston University and projects as a top-four defender for Nashville. The rich get richer.
