Ingram has agreed to voluntarily enter the NHL's player assistance program, the league announced Monday.
Ingram was serving as the team's third goalie on the practice squad but will have to be replaced while he away from the team. Kasimir Kaskisuo is the most likely candidate to move up to the taxi squad in the meantime.
The Predators have recalled Ingram from his loan with IF Bjorkloven of Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan league.
Ingram appeared in nine games during his loan, compiling a 5-4-0 record while posting a 2.51 GAA and a .898 save percentage. He's behind Juuse Saros and Pekka Rinne on the Predators' organizational depth chart, so he likely won't see much NHL action in 2020-21.
The Predators have loaned Ingram to IF Bjorkloven of Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan league.
Ingram will head to Sweden for now, but he'll be recalled ahead of the Predators' 2020-21 training camp, whenever that may be. The 23-year-old backstop spent the entirety of the 2019-20 campaign in the minors, compiling a 21-5-5 record while posting an impressive 1.92 GAA and .933 save percentage in 33 appearances. He's expected to once again serve as AHL Milwaukee's No. 1 netminder next season.
The Predators signed Ingram to a three-year contract extension Monday.
Ingram has been brilliant at the AHL level this season, recording a 1.92 GAA and .933 save percentage alongside a 21-5-5 record. The 22-year-old netminder seems primed to compete for a spot on the NHL roster, and he could get that opportunity soon; both Pekka Rinne and Juuse Saros are set to become free agents following next season.
Nashville reassigned Ingram to AHL Milwaukee on Thursday.
Pekka Rinne (illness) is expected to be available for Thursday's clash with Calgary, so the Predators are no longer in need of Ingram's services as a backup. The 22-year-old netminder will return to his role as Milwaukee's starter, where he's compiled an 18-5-5 record while posting an impressive 1.98 GAA and .931 save percentage this year.
The Predators recalled Ingram from AHL Milwaukee on Tuesday, Adam Vingan of The Athletic reports.
Pekka Rinne is dealing with an illness ahead of Tuesday's game versus the Senators, and although he was expected to be ready, Ingram was called up to add depth to the team's crease. The 22-year-old Ingram has been fantastic in the minors this season, recording a .931 save percentage, 1.98 GAA and 18-5-5 record. If Rinne ends up sitting out, Juuse Saros is expected to start and Ingram would work as the backup.
The Lightning traded Ingram to the Predators in exchange for a 2021 seventh-round pick Friday.
Ingram was a third-round selection by Tampa Bay in the 2016 NHL Draft, so the Predators are getting decent value here. Given Nashville's organizational depth, Ingram could struggle to earn minutes with AHL Milwaukee and may find himself still playing down in the ECHL, where he finished the 2018-19 campaign. With the Solar Bears, the 22-year-old went 8-2-0 with a 2.81 GAA.
The Lightning reassigned Ingram to AHL Syracuse on Sunday.
The 21-year-old didn't make his NHL debut during this stint, so he'll look to continue his development in Syracuse. He's had a solid AHL season with a .918 save percentage in 10 games, posting a 7-3-0 record.
The Lightning recalled Ingram from AHL Syracuse on Wednesday.
Ingram has been solid in the minors this season, maintaining a 2.52 GAA and .918 save percentage through 10 appearances. Assuming he's still with the big club, the 21-year-old netminder could make his NHL debut during Tampa Bay's next back-to-back set, which starts with a road game against the Devils on Monday.
Ingram made 22 saves in a 5-2 win over the Predators.
This one will go in the memory bank for the young goalie, whose NHL and fantasy future remains in the distance. Expect another season in the AHL for Ingram.
Ingram finished his first pro season 20-11-2 with a 2.33 GAA and .914 save percentage in 35 games with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL.
He spent the season in a rotating tandem and managed some pretty consistent performances as a rookie, along with a few flashes of brilliance. Ingram remains a long way from NHL play, especially behind the stud named Andrei Vasilevskiy in the Bolts' net.
