Dampier could return soon: The Dallas Morning News reports Mavericks center Erick Dampier said he's feeling better Tuesday morning after shootaround and there appears to be a chance he could be cleared to practice and play sometime soon. Dampier has been able to practice on a limited basis the last few days, although it's not certain yet whether he's going on the three-game road trip that starts Wednesday in Houston. "He's been around the team now for several days and as I've said, he's in good spirits and feeling real good," coach Rick Carlisle said. "I expect there will be some kind of announcement coming up at some point soon." Dampier has been out with an illness.
