CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Freshman Dayton Gumm scored a season-high 25 points, two Austin Peay players had double-doubles and the Governors beat Division II Oakland City 109-50 on Wednesday night in their home opener.

Austin Peay went on a 36-3 run down the stretch until Austin Robertson ended Oakland City's field-goal drought with 46 seconds remaining.

Gumm was 11 of 16 from the field to lead the Govs in scoring for a second straight game. He also had five assists and three steals. Averyl Ugba had 17 points and 11 rebounds, Terry Taylor added 13 points and 13 boards, and Richard Henderson scored 18 points.

Zach Glotta added 14 points and made four 3-pointers for Austin Peay (1-2), which outrebounded the Mighty Oaks 50-21. The Govs have nine newcomers under first-year coach Matt Figger.

Addison Wagler led Oakland City with 14 points and Logan Worthington added 11. The Mighty Oaks were just 1 of 11 from 3-point range and turned it over 26 times.
