EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) Jaylon Brown made 11 of 12 free throws for 21 points as Evansville had a strong second half to knock off Boise State 72-67 on Saturday.

Evansville (4-4), which won its fourth straight game at home, made seven free throws down the stretch to hold off the Broncos who battled back in the closing minutes.

Boise State led 32-30 at the break. Brown completed a 3-point play to give the Purple Aces their first lead in the second half, 41-40, at the 13:50 mark. They pushed that to 58-51 with 6:05 remaining.

Boise State (4-4) made a late charge and Nick Duncan hit a deep 3 to tie at 66 with 1:27 left. Dru Smith answered with two free throws to take the lead for good.

Ryan Taylor had 14 points and Willie Wiley added 13 for Evansville.

Chandler Hutchison led the Broncos with 19 points.
