BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) Jermaine Crumpton scored a career-high 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Canisius bounced back from a loss with an 86-72 win over Fairfield on Tuesday night.

The Golden Griffins had won seven straight before falling to Iona on Saturday.

Crumpton finished 11 of 19 from the field and 10 of 12 at the line. Phil Valenti hit 8 of 10 shots for 20 points and Kassius Robertson added 13 points for Canisius (11-6, 4-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).

Tyler Nelson scored 24 points to lead the Stags (8-6, 3-2), who shot 47.1 percent from the field but were plagued by 22 turnovers.

The Golden Griffins did much of their damage in the first half, building a 46-31 halftime advantage before cruising to the finish. Robertson hit a jumper to break a tie at 11 and sparked a 35-20 stretch to close out the half.
