NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) Shannon Bogues scored 29 points on 9-of-11 shooting and Ty Charles hit 9 of 13 shots and scored 20 to propel Stephen F. Austin to an 82-66 victory over Sam Houston State on Saturday.

Bogues hit 3 of 5 from 3-point range and sank all eight of his free throws for the Lumberjacks (17-4, 6-2 Southland Conference). Charles grabbed nine rebounds for 508 in his career, the 11th Lumberjack to accomplish the feat. The duo helped Stephen F. Austin shoot 66 percent from the floor (31 of 47).

The Jacks held the Bearkats (12-10, 6-3) to 30-percent shooting, including 0 of 6 from 3-point range, and led 46-28 at halftime.

Jamal Williams topped Sam Houston State with 16 points.

It was the 200th meeting between the Piney Woods rivals and the Jacks lead the series 109-91. The victory gives Stephen F. Austin an 83-3 record at home since the 2012-13 season. Its .965 winning percentage on its home floor is tops in the nation over that span.
