BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) Gabe Stefanini hit a game-winning runner as time expired, blunting a Binghamton rally and giving Columbia a 65-63 victory on Wednesday night.

Binghamton's Sam Sessoms tied it at 63 on a 3-pointer with nine seconds left to play. After a Columbia timeout at midcourt with 2.2 seconds left, Randy Brumant dished to Stefanini who sank a runner to give the Lions (4-9) a win and snap a three-game skid.

Quinton Adlesh scored 17 points to lead the Lions. Brumant added 16 points and Jake Killingsworth had 10 points with seven rebounds and six assists. Patrick Tape had 11 rebounds in addition to his nine points and Stefanini finished with seven points and five rebounds.

Columbia had a 35-22 advantage at the break but Binghamton rallied on a 15-0 run early in the second half as Sessoms sank three 3-pointers to help cut the Columbia lead to 45-41 with 12:02 to play.

Sessoms led the Bearcats (4-11) with 25 points on seven 3-pointers.
