Earlington lifts St. John's over Albany (NY) 85-57
NEW YORK (AP) Marcellus Earlington posted 16 points and nine rebounds as St. John's Red Storm cruised past Albany Great Danes 85-57 on Wednesday night.
Julian Champagnie had 14 points for St. John's (10-2), which won its sixth straight game. Greg Williams Jr. added 11 points and Rasheem Dunn had 10 points and six assists for the Red Storm.
St. John's posted a season-high 11 blocks.
Albany scored 22 points in the first half, a season low for the Great Danes.
Malachi de Sousa scored a career-high 22 points for Albany (6-7). Antonio Rizzuto added 12 points and Romani Hansen had seven rebounds.
St. John's takes on Arizona at the Basketball Hall of Fame Al Attles Classic in San Francisco on Saturday. Albany plays at Monmouth on Saturday.
