The ninth-ranked Duke Blue Devils look to stay hot when they face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in a key Atlantic Coast Conference showdown on Monday night. The teams enter the game tied for second place in the conference at 7-2, just one-half game behind first-place Miami at 8-2. The Blue Devils (17-3), who have won five of six, including three consecutive, have beaten Notre Dame in seven of the past eight games in the series. The Fighting Irish (14-6), who beat Duke in their last meeting, a 93-89 win on Feb. 9 of last year, have won all nine home games this season and are on a four-game winning streak. Notre Dame has won 10 of its last 11 games overall.

The game from the Joyce Center in Notre Dame, Ind., is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. ET. Duke is averaging 81.6 points per game, while Notre Dame averages 71.6. Freshman forward Paolo Banchero, who has scored in double digits in all 20 games and has registered five double-doubles, leads the way, but he's getting plenty of help. Sophomore center Mark Williams has been a force for the Blue Devils and is coming off his second consecutive double-double on Saturday. Against Louisville, Williams scored 14 points while grabbing 11 rebounds. It was his fifth double-double of the season and fourth in the past eight games. His best game so far was a 19-point and 11-rebound effort in an 88-73 win over North Carolina State. For the season, Williams is averaging 10.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and one assist per game.

Freshman forward AJ Griffin is off to a solid start to his collegiate career and is coming off a season-high-tying 22-point performance on Saturday. He was 8 of 13 from the field, including 5 of 5 from 3-point range. He has reached double figures in nine games this season, including another 22-point effort against Wake Forest in a 76-64 win on Jan. 12. For the year, Griffin is averaging 8.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and one assist per game on 52.1 percent shooting from the floor, including 50 percent from 3-point range, and 70.4 percent from the foul line.

The Fighting Irish also spread the wealth on offense with six players averaging 7.5 points per game or better. Wesley is coming off a 14-point and seven-assist effort in Saturday's win over Virginia. He has scored in double figures in 18 of 20 games, including a season-high 24 in an 82-72 loss at Illinois on Nov. 29.
