What you need to know about Virginia

Virginia fell 65-61 to the Duke Blue Devils on Wednesday. Guard Kihei Clark had a solid outing for Virginia, finishing with 25 points -- a whopping 41 percent of its total -- and seven dimes in addition to six boards. Despite that loss, UVA has won five of its last seven overall to get it back in the bubble conversation, though most projections list the Cavaliers as out of the NCAA Tournament field right now.

As usual, Tony Bennett's squad is one of the nation's best in scoring defense, giving up just 60.3 points per game. Jayden Gardner leads the way offensively with 15.3 points per game, while Armaan Franklin (11.4 ppg) and Kihei Clark (10.5 ppg) also average double-digit scoring, but Virginia struggles overall on this end of the floor, averaging just 63.4 points per game.

What you need to know about Florida State

Meanwhile, FSU received a tough blow on Monday as it fell 71-55 to the Boston College Eagles. Guard Cam'Ron Fletcher put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 16 points along with five rebounds. After some promising results earlier in the season, FSU has completely fallen apart. The Seminoles have lost eight of their last nine overall.

Injuries have been a big factor, and leading scorer Caleb Mills (12.7 ppg) is considered doubtful for this one with an ankle injury. Malik Osborne (ankle) and Anthony Polite (wrist) are also out, meaning three of FSU's top-four leading scorers are expected to miss this game.
