The people of Ann Arbor can sleep easily tonight knowing that the evil man who slides across the hoods of cars has faced justice.Michigan defensive lineman William Campbell was charged with a felony -- a felony!! -- count of malicious destruction of property after he slid across the hood of a Lincoln Town Car that wasn't his in early April.
Campbell had the felony charge dropped after a guilty plea to a lesser misdemeanor charge.
Campbell told the judge that he was crossing Church Street in the early morning when he "slid across the hood" of the car and caused damage to the vehicle. Damage Campbell will have to pay for, as part of his plea deal calls for him to pay $2,100 restitution for the hurting he put on that poor, unsuspecting car.
Campbell is expected to be Michigan's starting nose tackle in 2012. Campbell had 14 tackles and 2 sacks for the Wolverines in 2011.
