Josiah Scott: Cut by Pittsburgh
The Steelers cut Scott on Tuesday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
Scott bounced back and forth between the Eagles' practice squad and active roster in 2023, and he played in four regular-season games before being waived in November. Scott signed a future/reserve contract with the Steelers in January, but he will now be on the lookout for a new opportunity should he clear waivers. The 2020 fourth-round pick had his most productive season in 2022 with the Eagles, when he registered 26 tackles (19 solo), eight passes defended and two interceptions across 17 regular-season games.

Josiah Scott: Gets waived by Philly
Philadelphia waived Scott on Tuesday.
Scott played four games with the Eagles this season after they signed him a little more than a month ago, but he only logged 17 defensive snaps during that span, and he managed just two total tackles. He's now set to become a free agent unless he's claimed by another team during the current waiver period.

Scott spent the previous two seasons with the Eagles, appearing in 29 games in that span. He was on Pittsburgh's practice squad injured reserve last month but is now healthy and returns to a team he knows well. Scott will likely mainly contribute on special teams.
