  • Ravens' Dayton Wade: Officially placed on IR

The Ravens placed Wade (ribs) on injured reserve Tuesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Wade underwent surgery to repair a rib injury that he suffered during the Ravens' preseason finale against the Commanders on Saturday. The 24-year-old wideout will focus on rehab and recovery and aim to be fully healthy for OTAs and minicamp in the spring.

  • Ravens' Dayton Wade: Undergoing rib surgery

Head coach John Harbaugh said Monday that Wade will be "out for a while" due to a rib injury that he suffered during Saturday's preseason game against the Commanders, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official site reports.

Wade suffered the injury on the first play of the second quarter, when he took a hit from Antonio Hamilton while hauling in a 15-yard pass. Wade spent the entire 2024 season on the Ravens' practice squad, but his injury makes it likely that he'll be part of the team's roster cuts Tuesday.

  • Ravens' Dayton Wade: Exits game with shoulder injury

Wade is questionable to return to Saturday's preseason game against the Commanders due to a shoulder injury, Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore reports.

Wade appeared to favor his right shoulder after taking a hit from Antonio Hamilton during the former's 15-yard catch on the first play of the second quarter. Wade will be monitored by trainers on the sidelines to determine the severity of the injury and whether he can return to Saturday's exhibition contest.

  • Ravens' Dayton Wade: Remaining in Baltimore

Wade signed a reserve/future contract with the Ravens on Tuesday, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Wade signed with Baltimore in late April as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss. He wasn't able to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he performed well enough to earn a spot on the Ravens' practice squad. Wade has yet to make his NFL regular-season debut, but his futures contract means that he will be on the Ravens' 90-man roster for the start of the new league year. He'll compete in OTAs, minicamp and training camp to earn a spot on Baltimore's 53-man roster for the 2025 season.

  • Dayton Wade: Back in Baltimore

The Ravens signed Wade to their practice squad Wednesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Wade failed to make the Ravens' initial 53-man roster, but he's already been brought back to the team's practice squad. The 23-year-old wideout recorded 55 receptions for 830 yards and four touchdowns during his final season at Ole Miss in 2023.

  • Dayton Wade: Cut by Baltimore

Wade was waived by the Ravens on Tuesday, Clifton Brown of the team's official site reports.

The wide receiver caught seven passes for 99 yards and a touchdown during the preseason but it wasn't enough to land a roster spot. Wade signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in April after catching 55 passes for 830 yards and four touchdowns during his final collegiate season at Ole Miss.

  • Ravens' Dayton Wade: Paces pass catchers Friday

Wade caught four of five targets for 27 yards in the Ravens' preseason loss to the Eagles on Friday.

The undrafted rookie out of Mississippi saw plenty of action Friday as he led the team in targets, receptions and yards. Wade (5-foot-9, 175 pounds) was an important part of Ole Miss' passing game in 2023, as he averaged 10.1 yards per target over 6.3 targets per game. Still, Wade will need to stack these types of performances while contributing on special teams to keep his 53-man roster hopes alive. That said, Friday's outing puts him on the radar heading into the second preseason game against the Falcons.
