Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Drops 25 points in loss
Brunson notched 25 points (10-21 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and three rebounds across 30 minutes during Monday's 121-90 loss to the Pistons.
For the first time this season, Brunson failed to record an assist in Monday's loss to the Pistons. His last game without one came back in the 2022-23 season, when he was still with the Mavericks. The star guard also tied a season high with six turnovers. Despite the uncharacteristic outing, the 29-year-old continues to fuel the Knicks' offense through his volume scoring, notching his 25th game of the season with at least 25 points, which is tied for the third most in the league.

Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Paces New York in loss
Brunson provided 31 points (10-21 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 9-12 FT), four rebounds and four assists over 35 minutes during Saturday's 130-119 loss to the 76ers.
Brunson led the Knicks with his 17th 30-plus-point performance of the season Saturday, though it wasn't enough to secure a victory. The star guard is looking to carry momentum into 2026 after a huge December in which he averaged 30.6 points, 7.1 assists and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 47.5 percent from the field and 40.5 percent from beyond the arc in 13 appearances, earning Eastern Conference Player of the Month honors.

Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Paces New York in loss
Brunson supplied 24 points (10-23 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five assists, two rebounds and one steal in 35 minutes during Friday's 111-99 loss to Atlanta.
Although he struggled mightily from three-point range, Brunson still finished as New York's leading scorer. However, he dished out fewer than six assists for the fourth time in his last 10 games. The star point guard has scored at least 22 points in 13 straight outings, and he will look to extend that streak during the second leg of this back-to-back set in Saturday's matchup against the 76ers.

Brunson had 28 points (10-23 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds and 10 assists over 36 minutes during Monday's 130-125 win over the Pelicans.
Brunson's line was superb in a matchup that was much closer than expected, as the Knicks overcame an inspired performance from the Pelicans on the road. The point guard has played lights out in December, averaging 30.8 points, 7.0 assists and 3.2 rebounds over the last 12 games.

Brunson has scored 34 points in back-to-back games, and he's reached the 30-point plateau in seven of his previous nine outings, so his role as the Knicks' go-to scoring threat is set in stone. Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Erupts for 34 against Cavs
Brunson totaled 34 points (10-25 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 8-10 FT), one rebound, four assists and two steals over 39 minutes during Thursday's 126-124 win over the Cavaliers.
The star point guard led the Knicks in scoring while engaged in a fantastic Christmas Day duel with Donovan Mitchell, who also scored 34 for Cleveland. Brunson's performance was even more impressive considering he sat out New York's last game Tuesday with a minor ankle issue. Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Playing Christmas Day
Brunson (ankle) will be available for Thursday's game against the Cavaliers, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Brunson was held out of Tuesday's loss to the Timberwolves due to a lingering right ankle injury, but he will make his return to the lineup Christmas Day, which means Tyler Kolek will revert to the bench. Across his nine outings in December, Brunson has averaged 30.3 points on 49.0 percent shooting (including 38.0 percent from three on 7.9 3PA/G), 7.2 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 0.9 steals over 36.9 minutes per game.

Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Won't play Tuesday
Brunson (ankle) will not play Tuesday against the Timberwolves.
The Knicks are calling this right ankle injury management, so this is essentially a maintenance day for the star guard. Presumably, Brunson will be back for Christmas Day against the Cavaliers. Tyler Kolek and Jordan Clarkson could see extended run with Brunson out of the lineup Tuesday.

Brunson helped the Knicks improve to 20-8 on the season. This was the fifth-highest scoring game of Brunson's career, and this was his 20th career game with at least 40 points. New York's franchise point guard is on pace for third-round value in nine-category formats on a per-game basis.

Knicks' Jalen Brunson: Hits game-winning triple
Brunson posted 25 points (10-23 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven assists, seven rebounds and three blocks over 34 minutes during the Knicks' 114-113 win over the Pacers on Thursday.
Brunson looked to be on his way to another big game after tallying 18 points in the first half. His scoring slowed down over the final two quarters of Thursday's contest, but he gave the Knicks the lead for good late in the fourth frame when he hit a step-back three over Andrew Nembhard. Excluding the NBA Cup finals, Brunson has tallied at least 25 points in six straight games, and over that span he has averaged 31.5 points, 6.2 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 3.2 threes and 1.2 steals over 36.2 minutes per game.
