Brandon Nimmo TEX RF
Rangers' Brandon Nimmo: Perfect in win
13m agoNimmo went 3-for-3 with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored in Monday's 4-3 win over the Marlins.
The Rangers had a pair of two-run innings with Nimmo involved in both. He singled in the fourth and scored on Ezequiel Duran's home run, and then doubled and scored the go-ahead run in the eighth. This was Nimmo's eighth multi-hit game over the last 13 contests, during which the outfielder is slashing .358/.370/.509.

Ezequiel Duran TEX SS
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Goes deep in win
23m agoDuran went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's 4-3 win over Miami.
Duran swatted a two-run home run in the fourth inning to give Texas a 2-0 lead. It was his sixth homer of the season and upped his RBI count to 40, second on the club behind Jake Burger (46). Duran will continue to operate as the fill-in shortstop until Corey Seager (concussion) is ready to return. At that point, Duran is expected to shift to second base.

Kyle Farmer ATL 3B
Braves' Kyle Farmer: Beginning rehab assignment
31m agoFarmer (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Columbus on Tuesday.
Farmer went down a little over a month ago with a right forearm strain but has progressed enough to try things out in a game setting. He shouldn't need too many rehab contests before rejoining Atlanta's active roster as a utility infielder.

Travis Bazzana CLE 2B
Guardians' Travis Bazzana: Hits in six striaght
32m agoBazzana went 1-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base and two runs scored in Monday's 6-5 loss to the White Sox.
Bazzana's third-inning single extended a hit streak to six games, during which he's gone 10-for-21 with five walks, five extra-base hits (three HR), seven RBI and eight runs scored. He also ignited a two-run, ninth-inning rally with a walk and a stolen base, his 12th steal in 48 games.
-
Cade Smith CLE RP
Guardians' Cade Smith: Takes L in non-save situation
1h agoSmith (2-1) was the losing pitcher Monday, surrendering two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out three over 1.2 innings in a 6-5 loss to the White Sox.
The three-game series between the AL Central's leaders kicked off Monday in exciting fashion. Smith entered to start the eighth inning with the Guardians trailing 4-3 and got through his first inning without issue. After Cleveland scored twice in the top half of the ninth, Smith was in position for a win while pitching in a save-like situation -- ahead by a run in the ninth inning. The White Sox rallied for a pair of runs and the walk-off win. This was Smith's first hiccup of any kind since April 14 when he blew a save.

Matt McLain CIN 2B
Reds' Matt McLain: Run at SS ending
1h agoMcLain started at shortstop and went 0-for-3 in Monday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to Milwaukee.
McLain's started 17 of the last 19 games while operating as the primary fill-in for the injured Elly De La Cruz (hamstring), who is expected to be activated from the injured list Tuesday. De La Cruz's return should end McLain being a regular presence in starting lineups. The offensive production he showed during the first week of his residency at shortstop (1.319 OPS over seven games) suggested McLain was moving past a season-opening slump, but he's slipped back since, going 5-for-33 (.152) with a .475 OPS and zero RBI over the last 11 contests.

Ali Sanchez NYY C
Yankees' Ali Sanchez: X-rays come back negative
12h agoSanchez took X-rays immediately following his early departure from Monday's game which came back negative, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.
After being replaced by Austin Wells in the top of the seventh, Sanchez's x-rays on his right wrist came back negative. Manager Aaron Boone said the catcher will go for a CT scan and is hopeful that this is just a "day to day thing."
-
Chadwick Tromp BAL C
Orioles' Chadwick Tromp: Contract selected by Baltimore
12h agoThe Orioles selected Tromp's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.
Tromp will meet the big-league club in Los Angeles for their three-game series against the Angels. The 31-year-old will join his second major league team this season after playing in 12 games for Atlanta, registering 27 plate appearances prior to signing with Baltimore on June 10. The Orioles designated Michael Siani to make room for Tromp on the roster.

Dalton Rushing LAD C
Dodgers' Dalton Rushing: Left game as precaution
13h agoRushing left Monday's game against Minnesota early to rule out a concussion.
The Dodgers replaced Rushing early on in Monday's game to rule out a concussion after he was hit in the head with a foul ball. The Dodgers are already thin at catching depth with Will Smith on the injured list since June 11.
-
Dalton Rushing LAD C
Dodgers' Dalton Rushing: Leaves game early Monday
13h agoRushing left Monday's game against the Twins early after taking a foul ball off the face mask, Adrian Medina of ESPN Los Angeles reports.
Chuckie Robinson has replaced Rushing behind the plate. Rushing exited the game in the bottom of the third after being hit by a foul ball. The Dodgers have yet to announce the specificity of the injury Rushing suffered Monday.
-
Sandy Leon ATL C
Braves' Sandy Leon: Back with Atlanta
14h agoAtlanta signed Leon to a minor-league deal on Monday, Lindsay Crosby of BravesToday.com reports.
Leon will be back with Atlanta after being designated for assignment on Thursday. The 37-year-old has struggled to get it going from the plate this season, slashing just .091/.091/.091 with no homers or RBI in 44 plate appearances this season.
-
Gabriel Moreno ARI C
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Receiving night off
15h agoMoreno is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.
Moreno will get a breather for the series opener in St. Louis after he went 1-for-3 with a walk while playing eight innings behind the dish in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Twins. Adrian Del Castillo will handle catching duties for Arizona on Monday.
-
Freddie Freeman LAD 1B
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Belts decisive homer
9h agoFreeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Twins in a 2-1 victory Monday.
Runs were hard to come by in the contest, and Freeman's sixth-inning solo shot proved to provide the winning margin for Los Angeles. The veteran first baseman is batting just .250 over his past eight games, but three of his seven hits over that span have left the park. Freeman posted an .869 OPS with 24 homers, 90 RBI, 81 runs and six stolen bases over 147 regular-season games last year, and he's on pace to just about match those marks in 2026. Though 76 contests this season, the ageless slugger is at an .838 OPS with 13 long balls, 41 RBI, 43 runs and two thefts.
-
Curtis Mead WAS 1B
Nationals' Curtis Mead: Goes deep for 12th homer
10h agoMead went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.
Mead launched a two-run homer off Seth Johnson in the seventh inning that extended Washington's lead. The blast was his 12th home run of the season and came at an opportune time, as he entered Monday deep in a 3-for-24 slump over his previous eight games. Mead is now slashing .227/.333/.464 with 10 doubles, 12 homers, 36 RBI, 34 runs scored and three stolen bases across 225 plate appearances this season.
-
Vaughn Grissom LAA 1B
Angels' Vaughn Grissom: May be headed for platoon role
14h agoGrissom is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Grissom will be excluded from the starting nine for the third time in four games, with each of those absences coming against right-handed pitching. With Jorge Soler (oblique) making an unexpected return from the injured list Monday, the Angels now have one fewer spot in the lineup available, and Grissom looks like he could find himself on the bench more often than not. Grissom could end up settling into the short side of a platoon with either Nolan Schanuel or Donovan Walton, the latter of whom has produced a .927 OPS since getting called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on May 22 to earn himself a steady role.
-
Jacob Gonzalez CHW 1B
White Sox's Jacob Gonzalez: Exiting starting nine
16h agoGonzalez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.
Gonzalez will head to the bench while the White Sox go with Miguel Vargas and Colson Montgomery as their starters in the corner infield Monday. Since being called up from Triple-A Charlotte on May 30, the left-handed-hitting Gonzalez has mostly been spared from matchups with left-handed pitching but has still struggled to a .167/.273/.229 slash line over 55 plate appearances. Gonzalez will likely be headed back to Charlotte once Munetaka Murakami (hamstring) is ready to return from the injured list.
-
Jared Young NYM 1B
Mets' Jared Young: Hitting bench with lefty starting
16h agoYoung is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.
Young will head to the bench along with fellow left-handed batters MJ Melendez and Brett Baty while the Cubs send southpaw Shota Imanaga to the bump for the series opener. With Young taking a seat, Mark Vientos will pick up a start at first base and will bat fifth.
-
Trey Mancini LAA 1B
Trey Mancini: Bound for free agency
17h agoMancini elected free agency Monday.
Rather than accepting an outright assignment to the Angels' Triple-A affiliate in Salt Lake after he cleared waivers, Mancini will try his luck on the open market. If the 34-year-old is unable to find work with an organization that can present him with a clearer path to the big leagues, Mancini could re-sign with the Angels on a minor-league deal. The Angels dropped Mancini from their 40-man roster last week after he appeared in five games for the big club and went 4-for-13 with four RBI and one run.
-
Travis Bazzana CLE 2B
Guardians' Travis Bazzana: Hits in six striaght
32m agoBazzana went 1-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base and two runs scored in Monday's 6-5 loss to the White Sox.
Bazzana's third-inning single extended a hit streak to six games, during which he's gone 10-for-21 with five walks, five extra-base hits (three HR), seven RBI and eight runs scored. He also ignited a two-run, ninth-inning rally with a walk and a stolen base, his 12th steal in 48 games.
-
Matt McLain CIN 2B
-
Jeremiah Jackson BAL 2B
Orioles' Jeremiah Jackson: Notches second steal
8h agoJackson went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 6-1 win over the Angels.
Jackson has been filling in at second base in the absence of Jackson Holliday (groin) over the last two games. The theft was Jackson's first since April 19 versus the Guardians. The utility man has done fairly well when called upon, batting .255 with a .682 OPS, seven home runs, 32 RBI, 22 runs scored, two steals and eight doubles over 195 plate appearances this season. Jackson could shift over to third base if Blaze Alexander (knee contusion) misses any time after exiting Monday's game early.
-
Jackson Holliday BAL 2B
Orioles' Jackson Holliday: Feeling healthier Monday
14h agoHolliday (groin) is feeling better and will go through pregame work ahead of Monday's game against the Angels, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
While Holliday is missing his second consecutive game, he will undergo pregame work with the rest of the team Monday as he begins to feel better. The 22-year-old will look to get back in the starting lineup Tuesday night against Angels starter Ryan Johnson.
-
Anthony Seigler BOS 2B
Red Sox's Anthony Seigler: Making third straight start
14h agoSeigler will start at second base and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Rockies.
Seigler will cover second base for the third game in a row and appears set to receive an extended look as an everyday player while after Isiah Kiner-Falefa (forearm) recently joined the likes of Trevor Story (sports hernia), Romy Gonzalez (shoulder/hip) and Nick Sogard (oblique) on the shelf. Over parts of two seasons in the big leagues between Milwaukee and Boston, Seigler has produced a .192/.286/.219 slash line with zero home runs and one stolen base across 85 plate appearances.
-
Romy Gonzalez BOS 2B
Red Sox's Romy Gonzalez: Resuming rehab assignment Tuesday
14h agoGonzalez (shoulder/hip) will resume a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Worcester, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
Gonzalez has been out all season following left shoulder surgery, and he had to have his rehab assignment paused over the weekend due to a sore left hip flexor. He is feeling well enough to return to action Tuesday, and Gonzalez could rejoin Boston's active roster before the end of June.
-
Kyle Farmer ATL 3B
Braves' Kyle Farmer: Beginning rehab assignment
31m agoFarmer (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Columbus on Tuesday.
Farmer went down a little over a month ago with a right forearm strain but has progressed enough to try things out in a game setting. He shouldn't need too many rehab contests before rejoining Atlanta's active roster as a utility infielder.
-
Austin Riley ATL 3B
Braves' Austin Riley: Trio of hits in loss
8h agoRiley went 3-for-4 in Monday's 1-0 loss to San Diego.
Riley has gone 9-for-23 (.391) over his last six games, but just one of those knocks has gone for extra bases. He's also piled up eight strikeouts without drawing a walk in that span. The third baseman continues to endure a down year -- he's batting .219 with a .650 OPS, eight home runs, 36 RBI, 31 runs scored, 12 doubles, one triple and four stolen bases over 77 games.
-
Manny Machado SD 3B
Padres' Manny Machado: Provides lone run in win
8h agoMachado went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and a walk in Monday's 1-0 win over Atlanta.
Machado had the lone extra-base hits for either team in this contest, and his fourth-inning homer off Grant Holmes proved decisive. Over his last 12 games, Machado has shown improvement, going 13-for-47 (.277) with three homers, seven doubles and 10 RBI. The third baseman is still batting just .185 with a .649 OPS, 14 homers, 42 RBI, 36 runs scored, 13 doubles and a stolen base over 75 contests.
-
Coby Mayo BAL 3B
Orioles' Coby Mayo: Clubs 10th homer
8h agoMayo went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Monday's 6-1 win over the Angels.
Mayo went deep in the fourth inning to put the Orioles up 4-0. The infielder has hit five homers over his last 18 games, but he doesn't have a multi-hit effort in that span. For the season, he's batting just .190 with a .636 OPS, 10 homers, 30 RBI, 27 runs scored, seven doubles and a stolen base over 62 contests. He was in the lineup for a fourth straight game, but he'll need to show some extended consistency at the plate to avoid slipping back into a timeshare once the Orioles get some key players back from injuries.
-
Blaze Alexander BAL 3B
Orioles' Blaze Alexander: Suffers muscle contusion
9h agoAlexander exited Monday's game against the Angels early due to a muscle contusion, Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com reports.
Alexander's Monday night was cut short after fouling a ball off his knee which resulted in a knee contusion in the top of the second. When the 27-year-old was on the bench before going out for defense in the bottom of the third, he felt his knee lock up. Leody Taveras replaced Alexander at third base until he was moved to center field in the bottom of the eighth.
-
Kazuma Okamoto TOR 3B
Blue Jays' Kazuma Okamoto: Slugs 17th homer
11h agoOkamoto went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and a walk in Monday's 4-2 win over the Astros.
Okamoto accounted for Toronto's first run of the game when he took Hunter Brown deep to lead off the second inning. He later added a double in the ninth inning. The homer was his 17th of the season and his fourth in the last nine games. The slugger has been very productive lately, hitting .279 with an .863 OPS during the month of June. On the season, Okamoto is slashing .234/.316/.460, though his lofty 32.4 percent strikeout rate continues to cap his offensive profile.
-
Ezequiel Duran TEX SS
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Goes deep in win
23m agoDuran went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's 4-3 win over Miami.
Duran swatted a two-run home run in the fourth inning to give Texas a 2-0 lead. It was his sixth homer of the season and upped his RBI count to 40, second on the club behind Jake Burger (46). Duran will continue to operate as the fill-in shortstop until Corey Seager (concussion) is ready to return. At that point, Duran is expected to shift to second base.
-
Gunnar Henderson BAL SS
Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Gets aboard four times
8h agoHenderson went 3-for-4 with an RBI triple, a walk and a run scored in Monday's 6-1 win over the Angels.
This was Henderson's fourth multi-hit effort over his last 10 games. He's gone 12-for-38 (.316) with three homers, seven RBI and a 6:8 BB:K in that span. The star shortstop continues to turn things around in the middle of the season after getting off to a slow start. He's hitting .229 with a .732 OPS on the year, and he's added 16 long balls, 39 RBI, 44 runs scored, six stolen bases, 14 doubles and two triples over 79 contests.
-
Jeremy Pena HOU SS
Astros' Jeremy Pena: Cramping in right hamstring
11h agoThe Astros announced that Pena left Monday's game with a right hamstring cramp.
Pena was removed from Monday's game in the sixth inning with what is now diagnosed as a right hamstring cramp. Houston's infield, specifically their depth at shortstop, has been brutalized by injuries this season with Carlos Correa (ankle), Braden Shewmake (thigh) and Nick Allen (hamstring) all on the injured list.
-
Jeremy Pena HOU SS
Astros' Jeremy Pena: Leaves game early Monday
13h agoThe Astros removed Pena from the game after fouling off a pitch mid-at-bat, reports Julia Morales of Space City Home Network.
Brice Matthews replaced Pena at shortstop in the sixth inning after fouling off a pitch in the middle of his at-bat. The shortstop left the game with a trainer after going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and a run scored. Houston has yet to announce the specificity of the injury Pena suffered.
-
Kevin McGonigle DET SS
Tigers' Kevin McGonigle: Tallies two hits, two RBI in win
13h agoMcGonigle went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Monday's 5-3 win over the Yankees.
As he's done all season, McGonigle helped set the table for the Tigers as the leadoff man, and he managed to extend his hitting streak to eight games in the process. The likely American League Rookie of the Year frontrunner is now slashing .285/.393/.431, and he's only struck out 42 times across 75 contests. McGonigle's ability to make consistent contact at the plate should help him avoid any prolonged slumps moving forward and keep his fantasy value elevated.
-
Tristan Gray MIN SS
Twins' Tristan Gray: Losing playing time to Kreidler
15h agoGray is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.
On the bench for a third straight game against a right-handed starting pitcher, Gray appears to have lost hold of his strong-side platoon role at shortstop. The Twins will once again turn shortstop over to the hot-hitting Ryan Kreidler, who has earned himself more opportunities by producing an .880 OPS since Minnesota recalled him from Triple-A St. Paul on May 14.
-
Brandon Nimmo TEX RF
Rangers' Brandon Nimmo: Perfect in win
13m agoNimmo went 3-for-3 with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored in Monday's 4-3 win over the Marlins.
The Rangers had a pair of two-run innings with Nimmo involved in both. He singled in the fourth and scored on Ezequiel Duran's home run, and then doubled and scored the go-ahead run in the eighth. This was Nimmo's eighth multi-hit game over the last 13 contests, during which the outfielder is slashing .358/.370/.509.
-
Tommy Troy ARI LF
Diamondbacks' Tommy Troy: Homers in loss
2h agoTroy started in left field and went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 loss to St. Louis.
Troy crushed a fastball 444 feet to dead center field in the seventh inning, his third homer in 25 games. This was the third consecutive start in left field for Troy, who is in line for a regular role in starting lineups and may eventually see time in center field following the injury to Jordan Lawlar (hamstring). Lourdes Gurriel, who normally starts in left field and recently returned from a stint on the injured list due to a hamstring, operated as the DH for the second time in the last three contests.
-
Tim Tawa ARI LF
Diamondbacks' Tim Tawa: Moves into starting lineup
2h agoTawa started in center field and went 1-for-3 with a double in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Cardinals.
Tawa moved into the starting lineup for the first time since being recalled from Triple-A Reno over the weekend. He defended center field, which has become a hole following the injury to Jordan Lawlar (hamstring). Jorge Barrosa started there in the first two games without Lawlar prior to Tawa on Monday.
-
Jake McCarthy COL CF
Rockies' Jake McCarthy: Walks off Boston
5h agoMcCarthy went 1-for-4 with a three-RBI triple in Monday's 3-2 win over Boston.
McCarthy's lone hit was the biggest of the game for Colorado, as he delivered a walk-off triple in the ninth inning with the bases loaded. The 28-year-old punched an Aroldis Chapman fastball to the opposite field that Jarren Duran struggled to field cleanly, allowing all three runners to score. McCarthy has been swinging a hot bat of late, hitting safely in each of his past seven appearances while going 11-for-30 (.367) with four extra-base hits, four RBI and five runs scored. In his first season with the Rockies, the outfielder has put together some of the best numbers of his career, slashing .294/.335/.471 with 22 extra-base hits (five homers), 31 RBI, 27 runs scored and 11 stolen bases across 64 games.
-
Sam Antonacci CHW LF
White Sox's Sam Antonacci: Plays hero in Monday's win
6h agoAntonacci went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a run scored and two steals in Monday's 6-5 win over Cleveland.
With his team down to its final out, two runners in scoring position and trailing by a run, Antonacci lined an elevated fastball into center field to drive in both runners and emerge as the walk-off hero. The game-winning knock capped off a productive night in which he also recorded an RBI single and stole two bases in the seventh inning. The left fielder has put together a fantastic June, slashing .328/.438/.557 with three homers, five doubles, nine RBI, 14 runs and three stolen bases across 17 appearances this month. The rookie hasn't looked overmatched since debuting in mid-April, hitting .291/.391/.422 with 16 extra-base hits (four homers), 22 RBI, 37 runs and 11 stolen bases across 59 games.
-
Taylor Ward BAL LF
Orioles' Taylor Ward: Homers against former team
8h agoWard went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Monday's 6-1 win over the Angels.
This was Ward's first game back in Anaheim after he was traded to Baltimore last November. He's posted consecutive multi-hit efforts, each including a long ball, after going 12 contests without homering. The outfielder is batting .284 (23-for-81) in June and is up to .258 on the year with a .759 OPS, five homers, 22 RBI, 51 runs scored, 17 doubles and two stolen bases over 79 contests as the Orioles' primary leadoff hitter.
-
Jake Bennett BOS SP
Red Sox's Jake Bennett: Delivers six scoreless frames
5h agoBennett did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing four hits and no walks over six scoreless innings against the Rockies. He struck out nine.
Tasked with pitching at the notoriously hitter-friendly Coors Field, Bennett took the challenge in stride, allowing no runs while recording a season-high nine strikeouts in what can easily be considered the best outing of his young career. A blown save by Aroldis Chapman, however, denied Bennett the win. Through five big-league starts, the 25-year-old owns a 1-3 record with a 3.71 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 22:5 K:BB across 26.2 innings. His next start is projected for Saturday against the Yankees.
-
Ryan Feltner COL SP
Rockies' Ryan Feltner: Allows two runs in no-decision
5h agoFeltner did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks over six innings against the Red Sox. He struck out two.
Feltner was a bit wild, surrendering a season-high four walks, but he limited the damage to just two runs in the sixth inning. The elevated walk totals and lack of strikeout stuff remain concerns for the right-hander, but there's no denying he has yielded improved results since returning from right ulnar nerve inflammation at the end of May, compiling a 3.67 ERA and 1.15 WHIP across 27 innings over his past five starts. Feltner will carry a 2-2 record with a 4.79 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 35:20 K:BB across 47 innings (10 starts) into his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Twins.
-
Merrill Kelly ARI SP
Diamondbacks' Merrill Kelly: Suffers seventh loss
6h agoKelly (5-7) took the loss Monday, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings against St. Louis. He struck out two.
Kelly ran into some trouble in the third and fourth innings but was able to mitigate the damage fairly well and record a quality start, though a lack of offense from Arizona saddled the 37-year-old with the loss. The right-hander has had spurts of success but has mostly struggled in 2026, posting a 5.71 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 44:31 K:BB across 75.2 innings (13 starts). Having lost each of his four most recent starts, Kelly will look to reverse that trend in his next outing, tentatively scheduled for Saturday at Tampa Bay.
-
Andre Pallante STL SP
Cardinals' Andre Pallante: Logs six innings in ninth win
6h agoPallante (9-4) earned the win Monday, allowing one run on six hits and no walks over six innings against Arizona. He struck out two.
Pallante's winning ways continued Monday, as he kept the Arizona offense quiet to earn his fourth straight victory. His two strikeouts matched a season low, though the right-hander has never relied on swing-and-miss stuff and instead thrives by generating groundballs. The 27-year-old owns a 3.59 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 64:25 K:BB across 82.2 innings (15 starts) and is tentatively scheduled to face Miami on Saturday.
-
Gavin Williams CLE SP
Guardians' Gavin Williams: Strikes out eight in no-decision
6h agoWilliams did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over five innings against the White Sox. He struck out eight.
Williams allowed a run in the second inning and another in the third frame, but he did a nice job of limiting the damage and avoiding crooked numbers. After logging at least six innings in eight starts entering June, the right-hander has failed to complete six innings in any of his four starts this month, topping out at 5.1 frames. Overall, the 26-year-old owns a 9-4 record with a 3.82 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 111:31 K:BB across 96.2 innings (16 starts) and is lined up to face the Mariners on Sunday.
-
Anthony Kay CHW SP
White Sox's Anthony Kay: Tosses six scoreless frames Monday
7h agoKay did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing three hits, two walks and a hit-by-pitch over six scoreless innings against the Guardians. He struck out eight.
Kay pitched well enough to earn the win Monday, recording a season-high eight strikeouts and not allowing an earned run for the third time this season, though bullpen troubles ultimately cost the southpaw a victory. The outing marked a positive step in the right direction for the 31-year-old, who entered with an 8.31 ERA and 1.62 WHIP across 13 innings in his first three starts of June. He'll take a 6-2 record with a 4.24 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 63:30 K:BB across 76.1 innings (16 appearances) into his next outing, which is lined up for the weekend against the Royals.
-
Cade Smith CLE RP

Tony Santillan CIN RP
Reds' Tony Santillan: Scoreless run ends
1h agoSantillan (1-4) was the losing pitcher Monday, allowing two runs (one earned) while walking one in a 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Brewers.
Santillan, who entered a scoreless tie in the 10th inning, gave up runs for the first time in eight outings. Monday's results aside, he appears to have settled in as the Reds fill-in closer until Emilio Pagan (hamstring) returns, which could happen within a week. Pagan threw a second live batting-practice/simulated-game session Monday and is expected to begin a brief rehab assignment Thursday.

Enyel De Los Santos HOU RP
Astros' Enyel De Los Santos: Takes second loss
2h agoDe Los Santos (0-2) took the loss Monday against the Blue Jays, allowing a run on two hits while striking out two over 1.1 innings.
De Los Santos looked good in the sixth inning, setting down the top of Toronto's lineup in order, but he'd give up a pair of hits after coming back out in the seventh and ultimately took the loss in a 4-2 defeat. It's been a tough stretch of late for De Los Santos of late -- he's given up seven runs on nine hits in his last 6.1 innings. Overall, the right-hander sports a 4.32 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 33:8 K:BB across 33.1 innings this year.

Aroldis Chapman BOS RP
Red Sox's Aroldis Chapman: Blows first save of 2026
5h agoChapman (0-3) blew the save and took the loss in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Rockies. He allowed three runs on four hits without recording an out.
Chapman entered with a two-run lead in the ninth inning and was greeted by a trio of singles, including a 74.2 mph blooper from TJ Rumfield and a bunt hit from Cole Carrigg. With the bases loaded and no outs, Jake McCarthy punched a fastball into left field that Jarren Duran struggled to field cleanly, allowing all three runners to score on a walk-off triple. It marked Chapman's first blown save of 2026 and his second straight outing in which he allowed a run and was charged with the loss. Despite the recent hiccups, the 38-year-old has still been excellent this season, posting a 2.08 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB with 14 saves across 21.2 innings.

Riley O'Brien STL RP
Cardinals' Riley O'Brien: Secures 19th save
6h agoO'Brien picked up the save in Monday's 3-2 victory over the Diamondbacks. He did not record a strikeout during a perfect ninth inning.
O'Brien made quick work of the Diamondbacks, retiring the side to secure the victory. The right-hander has had an uneven June, allowing runs in three of eight appearances while recording more walks (seven) than strikeouts (six) across eight innings. Overall, the 31-year-old owns a 4.05 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 33:11 K:BB while converting 19 of 23 save opportunities. Among National League relievers, only Mason Miller (21) has more saves than O'Brien this season.

Seranthony Dominguez CHW RP
White Sox's Seranthony Dominguez: Blows another save Monday
6h agoDominguez blew the save in Monday's 6-5 win over the Guardians. He allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out one over one-third of an inning.
After blowing a save Sunday against the Tigers, Dominguez was quickly handed another opportunity Monday and came up short once again. Entrusted with a one-run lead in the ninth inning, the right-hander allowed a walk, a single and a double before recording an out, squandering the lead in the process. After striking out Rhys Hoskins for the first out of the frame, Dominguez was lifted, and one of his inherited runners came around to score. However, the White Sox offense answered with a walk-off win in the bottom of the inning. The 31-year-old's grip on the closer role appears tenuous, as he owns a 4.45 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 33:16 K:BB while converting 12 of 17 save opportunities across 28.1 innings this season.

Jorge Soler LAA DH
Angels' Jorge Soler: Homers in return
8h agoSoler went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-1 loss to the Orioles.
Soler missed just over two weeks due to a left oblique strain. The veteran kept the Angels from getting shut out Monday, lifting a ninth-inning homer. He went 13-for-55 (.236) in the 14 games prior to his absence, a slight improvement compared to his overall numbers. He's batting .220 with a .713 OPS, 10 homers, 34 RBI, 29 runs scored, 10 doubles and a triple over 59 contests this season.

Shohei Ohtani LAD DH
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Clubs homer in victory
9h agoOhtani went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in a 2-1 win against Minnesota on Monday.
Ohtani gave Los Angeles an early jolt, belting a 414-foot homer to right field to lead off the game. That was his only hit, but the Twins helped emphasize how much the slugger is feared when they walked him intentionally with two outs and a runner on first base in the ninth inning. Ohtani had a slow start to the season in the power department, going deep an uncharacteristic eight times over his first 50 games, but he's picked up the pace since. Over his past 21 contests, the two-way superstar has nine homers along with 15 RBI. His offensive numbers are still below his usual lofty standards, but Ohtani nonetheless ranks fourth among qualified hitters with a .976 OPS.

Miguel Andujar SD DH
Padres' Miguel Andujar: Out of lineup again Monday
16h agoAndujar is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against Atlanta.
Andujar has not started either of the Padres' two games since he was activated from the 10-day injured list Sunday. The Padres have faced right-handers in both contests, so Andujar could be looking at a short-side platoon role for the time being. Will Wagner started at designated hitter Sunday, and Gavin Sheets is slotting in at DH on Monday.

Jorge Soler LAA DH
Angels' Jorge Soler: Comes back from IL
17h agoThe Angels reinstated Soler (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Monday. He'll start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in the Angels' series opener versus the Orioles.
Soler had been on the shelf since June 6 due to a left oblique strain, and after he checked out well after taking on-field batting practice in recent days, the Angels elected to bring him back from the IL without having him complete a rehab assignment beforehand. Because he returned a bit earlier than anticipated, Soler could be in line for a maintenance day or two during the Angels' upcoming six-game week, but he should settle back into a near-everyday role at DH.

Sterlin Thompson COL DH
Rockies' Sterlin Thompson: Returns to Triple-A
17h agoThe Rockies optioned Thompson to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.
With Mickey Moniak (ankle) making his return from the 10-day injured list, Thompson's playing time would have taken a hit had he stuck around with Colorado. He'll instead return to Albuquerque, where he will receive regular reps. Thompson put up a .688 OPS with two home runs and a 5:21 BB:K across his first 27 big-league games.

Ivan Herrera STL DH
Cardinals' Ivan Herrera: Slaps 10th home run
1d agoHerrera went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a hit-by-pitch and three runs scored in Sunday's 12-10 win over the Royals.
Herrera collected a pair of singles and delivered a three-run homer in the fifth inning off Steven Cruz for his 10th home run of the season. The catcher has been one of St. Louis' hottest hitters recently, batting .333 with a 1.134 OPS over his last 12 games. Herrera's season-long splits have been notable, as he has found considerably more success away from Busch Stadium, slashing .311/.463/.481 on the road compared to .221/.345/.379 at home.
