The biggest draft weekend is right around the corner, and yet player values are still evolving in this rapid run-up to opening day. This mock draft offers one last look -- for those who play in Rotisserie, anyway -- at who's rising and who's falling.

The first and second rounds are pretty well settled by this point -- if not the exact order, then certainly the names therein. But after that, a player's average draft position is merely a suggestion.

Kris Bryant, who recently signed with the Rockies, is apparently now a candidate to go in Round 4. Bobby Witt, meanwhile, went in Round 5, which was surely a response to his monstrous spring and the near certainty he'll be on the Royals opening day roster. The world seems to be catching up to me on Justin Verlander, too, with him already proving healthy and effective. He went in Round 6, 69th overall, ahead of both Lance Lynn and Jose Berrios.

That's what always happens with these final mock drafts. The values I've gotten used to exploiting suddenly dwindle down to nothing. It's good to be prepared, but it could backfire if you anticipate too much based on prior draft results.

Here are some other notable risers and fallers as compared to past mocks:

  • Trevor Story went at the start of Round 4, 37th overall, and may well be a solid third-rounder in your league now that he'll be calling Fenway Park home. It's not Coors Field, but it's also favorable on balls in play and makes for a gentle landing overall.
  • Max Muncy went 83rd overall, 20 spots higher than ADP, seeing as his bum elbow hasn't prevented him from playing the field this spring.
  • Fernando Tatis, the former No. 1 overall choice who'll now be sidelined until June because of a wrist injury, went just inside the top 100, between Bryan Reynolds and Mitch Haniger as far as outfielders go. Seems like the perfect spot in a league of this size.
  • Ryan Mountcastle and Jared Walsh, who the entire Fantasy Baseball Today crew regards as bust candidates, were actually drafted after Joey Votto, Rhys Hoskins, Josh Bell, C.J. Cron and even Luke Voit in this one. It's exactly the way we'd have it go even though ADP says otherwise. Walsh specifically went well after, 179th overall, amid growing platoon concerns.
  • We actually got a favorable report about Chris Sale's rib cage just a little before the draft. The pain from the stress fracture is gone, and he'll soon begin throwing again. Still, he lasted to the 13th round in this one. If I had it to do over again, I'd take him about 20 spots sooner.
  • Shane Baz, who recently had surgery to remove loose bodies from his elbow and will miss the first 4-6 weeks, lasted about 35 spots beyond his ADP, going 189th overall.
  • Three prospects who are closing in on opening day jobs all crept inside the top 200 in this one. I took the Tigers' Spencer Torkelson and the Mariners' Julio Rodriguez at the Round 16-17 turn. I may have gone for the wrong Tigers prospect, though. Riley Greene went one pick later. Outfield got pretty scary thereafter while competent corner men like Brandon Belt, Eduardo Escobar and Frank Schwindel went undrafted for several more rounds. Something to think about.
  • As for some other spring risers, Jesus Luzardo went in Round 19, Mitch Keller and Jeremy Pena both in Round 24, Bryson Stott in Round 25 and MacKenzie Gore in Round 27. Keston Hiura wasn't drafted at all, which was, frankly, a disappointment. Darin Ruf also probably should have been drafted given how the Giants are bleeding hitters right now.
