Angels' Taylor Ward: Optioned to alternate site

Ward was optioned to the Angels' alternate training site Tuesday.

The utility man has not done much with his sporadic playing time this season, hitting .147/.216/.206 over 37 plate appearances. Jaime Barria was called up in a corresponding move.
