Wade will sit Friday against Seattle, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Wade may be needed more frequently for the rest of the season with Anthony Rendon done for the year due to wrist surgery, but he won't start here against lefty Robbie Ray. Luis Rengifo and Andrew Velazquez will handle the middle infield spots with Jack Mayfield at third base.
