Matijevic made his brief big-league debut in 2022, during which he hit .209/.254/.328 across 71 plate appearances. He's capable of playing both first base and outfield, which makes him a candidate to benefit from the potential absence of Michael Brantley (shoulder) to begin the campaign. Barring more injuries, Matijevic would be in line only for a reserve role.
