Athletics' Miguel Andujar: Shelved with core-muscle injury

The Athletics placed Andujar on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a core-muscle injury.

Andujar wasn't known to be dealing with an injury, but the core-muscle issue helps explain why he was mysteriously excluded from the lineup the last two games against a pair of right-handed starting pitchers. His placement on the IL is retroactive to Sunday, so Andujar will be eligible for activation beginning Sept. 4. Daz Cameron started in left field the past two games and should serve as the primary replacement while Andujar is on the shelf.
