Castellani's contract was selected by Oakland on Friday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Castellani has made four appearances at Triple-A Las Vegas to begin the year, and he allowed two runs in 4.1 innings. He'll provide bullpen depth during the Athletics' weekend series in Toronto after A.J. Puk (undisclosed) and Kirby Snead (undisclosed) were placed on the restricted list.
