Beasley was optioned to the Blue Jays' taxi squad Monday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Beasley's contract was selected Thursday, but he didn't pitch well in his first two big-league outings of the season. He gave up three runs in a combined three innings of work, though he did at least strike out five batters. Matt Gage joined the roster to take his place in the bullpen.
