Blue Jays' Nick Tepesch: Designated for assignment

Tepesch was designated for assignment on Saturday, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.

The Blue Jays needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Luis Santos, whose contract was selected from Triple-A. Tepesch logged a 5.17 ERA in four big-league starts this year and has a 4.71 ERA in 238.2 MLB innings.
