Braves' Jesus Cruz: Optioned to Triple-A

Cruz was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.

Cruz will return to Gwinnett after being called up Tuesday and allowing five runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one over 2.2 innings Thursday against the Phillies. The move was made in conjunction with Silvino Bracho joining the big-league bullpen after he was acquired via trade from the Red Sox on Thursday.
