The Brewers optioned Wiemer to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.
With infielder Oliver Dunn being called up in a corresponding move, Wiemer will head to Nashville less than a week after returning from a stint on the injured list due to a knee injury. Wiemer has gone 4-for-26 at the dish in his 19 games this season with the Brewers.
