Cardinals' Lars Nootbaar: Not starting matinee

Nootbaar isn't in the lineup for the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Reds, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Nootbaar hasn't started against a left-handed pitcher since Aug. 22 and will head to the bench with southpaw Mike Minor on the mound for Saturday's matinee. Dylan Carlson is starting in right field and batting fifth.
