Morgan was activated off the bereavement list Friday, Gordon Wittenmyer of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
Morgan missed the maximum seven days while on the bereavement list. He'll give the Cubs a left-handed bullpen option over the final few weeks of the season. Two of his last six outings have resulted in saves, so it's possible he adds another save or two to his tally before the end of the year, though Rowan Wick has gotten the majority of the Cubs' recent save opportunities.
