Cubs' Brad Wieck: Lands on 60-day IL

Wieck was placed on the 60-day injured list Thursday with a left elbow strain.

Wieck has surgery in August to address his irregular heartbeat and entered spring training fully healthy, but the elbow strain will sideline him for the start of the 2022 campaign. The 30-year-old didn't allow a run over 17 innings for the Cubs last season before being sidelined by the heart issues.
