Cubs' Matt Murton: Placed on DL with oblique strain
Murton was placed on the disabled list with an oblique strain, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
Murton was plagued by appendicitis earlier this year, and it appears his luck hasn't gotten any better. Strained obliques are notorious for taking a good amount of time to rehab, so he could be on the shelf for a while. A better timetable for his return should come forth once he gets further in his rehab process.
