Cubs' Nick Burdi: Will resume throwing soon

Burdi (abdomen/elbow) is scheduled to resume throwing in a couple of days, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Burdi had to be pulled off his minor-league rehab assignment last week due to ulnar nerve irritation in his right arm, but it shouldn't be an overly serious setback. He initially landed on the injured list back in late May following an emergency appendectomy.
