Suzuki (finger) took batting practice on the field Tuesday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Suzuki is said to be progressing in his recovery from a sprained left ring finger, but the Cubs have yet to note when exactly he might return from the 10-day injured list. Jason Heyward will continue to serve as the Cubs' primary right fielder while Suzuki is on the shelf.
