Erick Mejia: Parts ways with Royals

Mejia was non-tendered by the Royals on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old joined Kansas City on a minors deal last offseason and appeared in eight games, going 1-for-14 with seven strikeouts and a stolen base. Mejia returns to free agency after spending the last two years with the Royals.
