Carroll signed a minor-league contract with the Giants on Wednesday.
Carroll made 25 relief appearances at the Triple-A level in 2021 and recorded a 5.63 ERA and 1.58 WHIP in 24 innings. He hasn't appeared in the big leagues since 2020 but will likely have a chance to compete as a non-roster invitee at spring training.
