Walton was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday.
Walton was traded from the Mariners to the Giants on Wednesday, and he'll join the major-league club after Mauricio Dubon was dealt to Houston on Saturday. Over 24 games with the Mariners last year, Walton hit .206 with two homers, seven RBI, six runs and a stolen base. He should serve as a utility option in San Francisco.
