Brennan is not in the lineup for the first game of Monday's doubleheader versus the Royals.
The Royals are starting lefty Cole Ragans in the afternoon contest, so the left-handed-hitting Brennan will begin the game on the bench. He is a good bet to be in the lineup for the nightcap against right-hander Alec Marsh.
