Jesus Cruz: Enters free agency

Cruz elected to become a free agent Tuesday.

After finding minimal opportunities in the majors during the 2022 season, Cruz was sent outright to Triple-A Gwinnett in early August. He will now look for his next opportunity elsewhere in 2023 following a season in which he posted a 6.23 ERA and 1.38 WHIP over 8.2 major-league innings.
