Jose Briceno: Let go by Colorado

The Rockies released Briceno on July 21.

Colorado parted ways with Briceno after it added another catcher to the Triple-A Albuquerque roster (Dustin Garneau) in a corresponding move. The 28-year-old Briceno previously saw action in the big leagues with the Angels in 2018 and 2020, cobbling together a .238/.301/.377 slash line in 134 career plate appearances.
