Kole Calhoun: Retires from baseball

Calhoun retired from baseball Friday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

Calhoun will close the book on his career after 12 seasons in the majors. The 36-year-old outfielder amassed 1,076 hits, 179 home runs and 582 RBI in his career and took home a Gold Glove Award in 2015.
