Mariners' Casey Sadler: Transferred to 60-day IL

Sadler (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Wednesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Sadler's placement on the 60-day IL is simply procedural, as the right-hander had already been ruled out for the season after undergoing shoulder surgery in late March. Wednesday's move helps to make room on the 40-man roster for Matt Koch, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Tacoma.
