Marlins' Luis Madero: Contract selected by Miami

Madero had his contract selected by the Marlins on Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Madero was designated for assignment in mid-August but will rejoin the 40-man and 28-man rosters Wednesday. The 24-year-old has only four appearances in the majors this season and has spent most of the year at Triple-A Jacksonville, where he has a 3.32 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 58:24 K:BB across 57 innings.
