Mets' Drew Gagnon: Optioned to Triple-A

Gagnon was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

The 29-year-old returns to the minors after giving up five earned runs off six hits in 1.2 innings Thursday against the Braves. Paul Sewald was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse and Tim Peterson was designated for assignment in corresponding moves.
