Mets' Gosuke Katoh: Passes through waivers

The Mets outrighted Katoh to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday.

Katoh will stick around in the organization after none of MLB's other 29 teams put in a waiver claim for him when the Mets designated him for assignment Friday. The 27-year-old infielder has appeared in eight games at the big-league level in 2022, all of which came with the Blue Jays before the Mets claimed him off waivers in May.
