Mets' Roel Ramirez: Clears waivers

The Mets outrighted Ramirez to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

Ramirez will remain in the organization after he cleared waivers when the Mets designated him for assignment Tuesday. New York claimed Ramirez off waivers from the Cardinals on July 21, but he never appeared in a game for the Mets before being booted off the 40-man roster.
