X-rays on Werth's toe came back negative, but the veteran could still miss a few games, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports. "That's the same toe he fouled the ball off [in spring training], and I think he missed two or three games then," Nationals manager Dusty Baker said. "He's not looking good, but the X-rays were negative, but he's on crutches. It's not looking good for now."
The club hasn't ruled out a DL stint, but no move seems imminent for the moment. Brian Goodwin will patrol left field while Werth is sidelined.
