Nationals' Lane Thomas: Out due to back issue

Thomas is out of the lineup Tuesday versus the Mets due to back discomfort, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The back discomfort is severe enough that Thomas was sent for an MRI, the results of which are still pending. It sounds like he could require an extended period of rest. Travis Blankenhorn, Jacob Young and Alex Call are starting across the outfield for the Nationals on Tuesday against New York.
